To make a muffin she requires 1/4 ounce of flour, therefore the number of muffins she can make from 9 ounces of flour can be given by:

(1/4)y = 9 where y is the number of muffins.

Therefore, y = 9 × 4 = 36 muffins

The number of more muffins she can make more than cupcakes from her flour = 36 - 27 = 9 more muffins
