(c) Thoreau is very independent.

Well, let us look at the passage.

Thoreau is talking about spending his days away from others. I suppose that could imply that he is lonely but he does not seem to be bothered by it nor does he ''regret'' his choices. It would also mean he is independent of others but that is irrelevant concerning the passage. Formal education? The only way this could be the answer is if I was reading this out of context and there was a much larger passage to read instead. Thus this passage isn't necessarily about Thoreau's dislike for formal education.

That leaves (D) Thoreau is a hermit.

My reasoning? This particular answer has relevance where the others are lacking.

Let me know if this was the correct answer. If not, I sincerely apologize.

Excerpt from: Norse Mythology Part D Kate McConnaughey (34) And in a hall far brighter than Woden’s Valhalla, the brave warriors
nikitadnepr [17]

B) And in a hall far brighter than Woden’s Valhalla, the brave and good will be gathered forever.

Answer “B” is correct because the way the sentence originally appears is with an error in parallelism. For a sentence to be parallel, it should have list items (note that a list/series is two or more items) appear with same/similar grammatical elements. The original—“brave warriors and those who were good—consists of an adjective|noun (brave|warriors) followed by and adjective|pronoun|verb|adjective (thoses|who|were|good), which is thus not paralle. To correct this, as well as make this more concise, you can just use adjectives—“brave” and “good”—and that will make this sentence’s list parallel.

To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow, Creeps in this petty pace from day to day, To the last syllable of recorded time; And a
balandron [24]

Answer:

Spoken by Macbeth in Act V scene v, after Seyton brought the news of Lady Macbeth's death, implying at the meaninglessness of one's life.

Explanation:

These lines are a quote from the tragedy play "Macbeth" by William Shakespeare. Taken from Act V scene v, these words are said by Macbeth after he hears of the death of his wife, lady Macbeth.

Macbeth at first seemed to be shaken with the news brought by Seyton that "the queen, my lord, is dead." But then, Macbeth began talking of the inevitability of death for everyone. He accepts that "she should have died hereafter", and that "Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player/ That struts and frets his hour upon the stage

/ And then is heard no more. It is a tale

/ Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,

/ Signifying nothing." This could also be taken as his acceptance of the meaninglessness of human life, which also indirectly made his act of murdering King Duncan an insignificant act. He is in a way, justifying his murderous acts and seems to imply their insignificance. After all, life is just a shadow cast by a brief candle.

POEM about journey to school
Tamiku [17]
When i cycle to school every morning,
i dream of many things
and then the wind will whisper,
to take me on its wings,
i will fly to see all of the beauty
of nature and human beings,
the love of magic wonders
give kisses to every little thing
the sun shines thru ' bits of clouds
the rays will fall on me,
the skys will put its beauty out;
before my eyes to see.
O' such a pleasant smell of school
as i fly towards the door'
with joy and full of heart
to be there to study more
for the start.
