The audience's perceptions may be based upon a person:-  who can listen/understands, relates, empathizes and responds them the way they were expecting.

To make a goodwill relationship with the audience one should apply these key points- maintaining eye contact, facial expressions, voice modulation, common relatable points with the audience.

There are basically three pillars of public speaking which are:-

  • Ethos- It is for the credibility.
  • Pathos- Its persuasion is based on emotions.
  • Logos- It uses/come up with reasons or logics.

It is so because a goodwill speech is informative but also persuasive. As, it builds a rapport or goodwill relationship with its audience.

Act 2 scene 1 Anne frank play
avanturin [10]

It is a new year, 1944, and Miep and Mr. Kraler come to visit and bring them a

cake. Everyone in the annex is excited about the cake because they have little food. On top it says, “Peace in 1944.” They talk about a cake last year that said the same thing.

They argue about who should cut the

cake. Mr. Dussel thinks Mrs. Van Daan gives her husband a bigger piece of cake. Mr. Van Daan doesn’t plan to give Margot a piece of cake because it might make her cough. We see how greedy Mr. Van Daan is by his actions.
