I don't fully understand this sentence. Can someone explain it please? Your strength of character and commitment show up when fr
kykrilka [37]

Answer: I think that it means don't be a follower be a leader, because sometimes you have friends that are very fake to you and what I mean by that is that they will pressure you into doing things you really don't want to do but you don't want to make a fool of yourself and loose your "friends"by backing out.And or it might mean that when you're friends are basically pushing you to do things that you don't want to do and know you don't want to do it but you're the type that can't say no.It means that when they are making you do those things and you really don't want to do it you end up saying a firm no.and then you leave it at that and you might even end up unfriending them because you know that they are causing you harm, so you're showing strength and character by doing that because you are showing them a side they have never seen and your telling them that you are basically stronger than you look or feel or that you have a strong personality.

I hope this is correct I'm sorry if it is not, I tried my best

What are solutions to end transgender discrimination?
soldier1979 [14.2K]
Look at your favorite organization's policies and ensure that transgender people are welcome to join your country club, your work union or your book group.
2. Volunteer to help get a transgender-supportive candidate elected.
3. Ask your local film festival to include films inclusive of transgender issues.
4. Work to pass a non-discrimination policy in your workplace. Slightly less than one-third of Americans live in a jurisdiction with laws that ban employment discrimination based on gender identity and expression.
5. Submit an op-ed to your local paper about the transgender community. This is an effective way to express opinions and distribute information on transgender issues from a variety of voices.
6. Plan or attend a Day of Remembrance Event every November 20. This is a yearly opportunity to remember those lost to hate-motivated violence directed towards the transgender community, and also a time to encourage people to take action to make the world safer.

Reading comprehension: How many years did Oisin spend in Tir na nOg? How do you think Niamh felt when Oisin didn't return to Tir
larisa [96]

Answer and Explanation:

1. he spent 300 years in Tir na nOg, although without realizing it, because the time in Tir na nOg passes differently.

2. she felt immensely sad and disappointed, as she had informed him that he should return to Tir na nOg and warned him not to touch the Irish floor, or his return would be impossible and she wished him to return, as they were in love .

3. When reading the story we can say that Tir na nOg is a magical and mystical land. This is because there is no disease or sadness on this land, and the inhabitants do not age, as time passes too slowly. So everyone can maintain their strength and beauty.

4. She said that he would not be able to return if he set foot on the ground in Ireland, that is, if he returned to reality. This is a great tip, because if he left, he would probably die, due to the life span he had assumed.

5. Probably because she didn't want him to be tempted to test the result of putting his feet on the floor.

6. I believe that living in Tir na nOg would be a punishment, as we would suffer for not seeing our family and not being able to allow them to enjoy the same privileges.
