Answer:

The Angolan War of Independence (1961–1974) began as an uprising against forced cultivation of cotton, and it became a multi-faction struggle for the control of Portugal's overseas province of Angola among three nationalist movements and a separatist movement. The war ended when a leftist military coup in Lisbon in April 1974 overthrew Portugal's Estado Novo regime, and the new regime immediately stopped all military action in the African colonies, declaring its intention to grant them independence without delay.

Did the idea of manifest destiny actually cause events, such as the political support for territorial expansion, or simply justi
IgorLugansk [536]
I think that the idea of Manifest Destiny of the US caused actions to be taken to oppose any signs of political or economic independence in its supposed 'back yard' in Latinamerica up to the more recent times. So such things as the support and fostering of the Contras by Reagan and the invasion of Panama by Bush were part and parcel of this policy. It is only now that many Latinamerican countries have insisted on having progressive governments that the US cannot just have carte blanche in organizations like the OAS and had to finally recognize the legitimate existence of the socialist government in Cuba in order not to become more isolated in that part of the world.

Many states refused to ratify The constitution unless
Blababa [14]

The correct answer is:

C - A general listing of the rights of the people were added to it.

The Constitution was sent to the states for ratification in September 1787.  It was necessary that nine of the 13 states had to ratify the Constitution for it to become valid on those ratifying states. Soon, a debate arose among those who contended that the Constitution should be adopted (Federalists) and those who argued against it, who were called Anti-Federalists.
