Answer:

To cover a square ballroom 171 packages of tiles are required.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

1 package = 24 tiles.

Size of tile = 1 foot

Tiles are in square shape.

Hence Area of Tile = side^2 =1^2 = 1 ft^2

Also Given:

Side of the ballroom = 64 feet.

Ballroom floor is in square shape.

Hence we will find the Area of ballroom.

Area of ballroom = side^2

Are of ballroom = 64^2= 4096

Now we will find the Number of tiles required to cover ballroom.

Number of tiles required is equal to Area of ballroom divided by Area of Tile.

Framing in equation form we get;

Number of tiles required = \frac{4096}{1} =4096

Now Given that

1 package contains  = 24 tiles

Number of packages required  = 4096 tiles

By using Unitary method we get;

Number of packages required  = \frac{4096}{24} = 170.67 \approx171

Hence To cover a square ballroom 171 packages of tiles are required.

Answer choices:
vova2212 [387]
A and T are points. On their own, they cannot define a line. So we can rule out choice A

WCR and TRA are angles. For any triple the points do not fall on the same straight line. So we cannot define any lines here. This crosses off choice B

Choice C is the answer because WC does define a line. We only need two points to form a line. Similarly CR does the same job. We draw a line marker with two arrows at each end to be placed over the letters to indicate "line".

Choice D is similar to choice D; however, it is not the answer because WT is the same line as WC. In other words, WC = WT. We haven't named a new line at all. We're simply repeating ourselves.

Answer:

b

Step-by-step explanation:

In a 30-60-90 right triangle, the hypotenuse is twice the length of the short leg.

The hypotenuse is AB and is 18.

The short leg is BC and is 9.

The only choice with BC = 9 is b.

Answer: b
