Most important characteristics of the speech. I am the only candidate in this race who can be trusted to run the government effi

ciently. During my 20 years of experience in state and local government, I have learned that most government spending programs are a waste of taxpayer money. If I am elected governor, you can expect me to slash wasteful government spending, allowing me to lower taxes for everybody in the state. My opponent doesn't share this vision for smaller government. He believes that taxes should be raised on successful businesses just to increase funding for a public school system that is already failing our children. Everybody knows that the problems in our schools are caused by too much government interference; why would we consider giving such a corrupt system even more taxpayer money?

Answer:

We have to find the author, time, intended audience, main idea, context, bias, and accuracy of the text.

Author - a candidate for government office.

Time - government election campaign.

Intended audience - potential voters.

Main idea - the candidate is the only one who can be trusted with taxpayer money, and this is crucial because taxpayer money is being wasted.

Context - Government intervention does more harm than good: raising taxes on successful businesses to fund failing public schools only has the effect of both reducing wealth creation, and educating children poorly.

Bias - the candidate has anti-goverment bias.

Accuracy - the candidate does not provide evidence to back his claims in the speech, thus, the accuracy of it cannot be properly gauged.

Give one advantage and one disadvantage of using parental reports to measure infant temperament. describe an alternative measure
Alex17521 [72]

One disadvantage of using parental reports to measure infant temperament would be that every child is essentially "perfect" in the eyes of their parent/guardian. They are not likely to see the flaws that others may be able to see due to the "rose colored glasses".

One advantage of using parental reports to measure infant temperament would be because they are around their children most often, for the most part. They know their child inside and out and can tell you if something is "off" or different about the child. They can give you an in-depth look about how their child's temperament is.

Does an apple and cupcake give you the same size and does it give you the same amount of energy
8_murik_8 [283]
An apple and cupcake are around the same size if you compare them in that respect.

As for energy, a cupcake gives you a lot of energy at that moment, called a “sugar rush”. But an apple has more fat and protein, giving you more energy an hour or a bit more later, but the apple’s energy will not drop off later leaving you feeling fatigued unlike the cupcake.

jeka94

Even without complete isolation, the infant monkeys raised without mothers developed social deficits, showing reclusive tendencies and clinging to their cloth diapers. ... Harlow's work showed that infants also turned to inanimate surrogate mothers for comfort when they were faced with new and scary situations.
