A map projection that shows accurate shape but a distorted size is called.
Morgarella [4.7K]
Your correct answer is B, a mercator map. the Mercator projection, the map most commonly seen hanging in classrooms and in text books, was created in 1596 to help sailors navigate the world. The familiar map gives the right shapes of land masses, but at the cost of distorting their sizes in favour of the wealthy lands to the north.<span>

Outline the significance of adiabatic temperature gradient in determining the earth’s convective stability
Vilka [71]

Answer: Adiabatic temperature gradient is the rate of change in temperature due to pressure under adiabatic conditions.

Explanation:

The rate of change of temperature due to pressure under adiabatic conditions is referred to as adiabatic temperature gradient.

In practice, since in the sea the pressure changes can be considered proportional to depth changes, the adiabatic temperature gradient is usually given as rate of change per unit depth, instead of per unit pressure and for practical purposes and calculations, the unit of depth is often chosen as 1000 m.

The natural and non-natural heat transfer influence the process of adiabatic temperature gradient.

Extinct animals due to climate change
tino4ka555 [31]
Climate change causes problems in our environment. The change in climate caused ice to melt and temperatures to rise. Because of the rising temperatures, habitats can be ruined and the animals that depend on that land and are living there can go extinct.

Why are earthquakes more common in California than the midwest states.
Artist 52 [7]

It's because there are bigger faults in Caliifornia.Which is San andres which is 800 miles which cuts through California. We all know earth is contesntly changing, and earthquakes are apart of earth chaging. So every times the tictonic plates moves it causes California, and other states close by to aswell, but not as bad.
