The group of people which built Great Zimbabwe, a wealthy and powerful trading town were the b) Shona. Great Zimbabwe was used as the seat of the monarch and where the government would have been and was built during the country's Late Iron Age. The walls enclosing the city were very high, but eventually the city was abandoned and fell into ruin. The Shona people are a group of Bantu people in Zimbabwe, who also live in Zambia, Botswana and South Africa.
