Civil Rights Movement was the conflict of the Black Americans against the Social injustice that was exiting in the society during the era of the 1950s. The movement intended to lay stress on granting equal rightsto all the citizens of the United States. Discriminatory policies like Jim Crow Law and State and Local Law was widely in practice in that era.

Jim Crow Law wasimposed in many parts of America during , totally facilitating racial injustice amid the natives and African Americans. After the Civil War public education was barredfor African Americans in most of the places inthe south. They were also humiliated and discriminated in public facilities including transportation, economic assistance, public amenities, restrooms, eateries, and all other social advantages as compared to the inhabitants. The laws mended the principles of “Blacks codes” of 1865 and 1866 which was barring Civil rights and liberties of African Americans.

Apart from this many other laws also existed during that era that was facilitating racial discrimination to a very large extent.
