Answer:

Come and Join the CycloClub! “It’s incredible fun. I should’ve joined years ago.” – John Sweet (new member). From cross-country chaos to fair-weather fun in the sun, as long as its on two wheels we offer it all! We have members of all sorts of abilities – from national champions to novices to children – so you'll definitely be able to find someone to ride with and talk to. We cater for road racing, cyclo-cross, time-trials, disabled riders, cross-country, downhill and track, and have a great mix of men and women, young and old. You're welcome to join at your first event or try us out a few times before making a decision. We generally organise three club rides per week for each discipline (on Tuesday evenings and both Saturday and Sunday mornings), though if you want to do more there's always someone who is up for a ride. "The Cycloclub's a great place to meet people and make friends." – Petra Weiss

Errors:

1- Year's: since the text is refering to the plural of "year," there is no need for the apostrophe.

2- We've: "have" is functioning as a main verb, so it cannot be contracted.

3- Time-trials: the "s" is marking plural, so no apostrophe is necessary.

4- Cycloclub's: an apostrophe has to be added to show the presence of the verb to be.

Read the excerpt from Chapter 5 of Wheels of Change.
melisa1 [442]
The aspect of historical context that this excerpt most reflects is a development in technology.
Bicycles were the most popular means of transport before the car was invented, but when first automobiles started to appear, everybody noticed how much more effective those were in comparison to bicycles. That is why more and more cars were produced, and fewer and fewer bikes.

Cite evidence from paragraph to answer the reason why whale sharks don’t bite or chew.
Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer and Explanation:

According to the paragraph, "Hueter believes the teeth are vestigial, an evolutionary leftover from the whale shark's ancestor." This explains why the whale shark does not bite or chew. A vestigial structure or organ is an anatomical feature that remains even though it no longer has use for the more evolved creature. An example of vestigial organ in humans is the appendix. In the case of the whale shark, the teeth are vestigial structures - they no longer function, but have remained as a leftover of evolution. That is why the whale shark cannot use them to bite or chew.

Write about a time when you realized that GROWING UP could be demanding, rewarding, and tough.
aliina [53]

Answer: I remember finding out that growing up could be demanding, rewarding, and tough because in my pre-teen years, I couldn’t make any actual friends because my low-self esteem and lack of confidence. It happened because I was being bullied, the more the bullies chant nasty words towards me, the more I started to believe it. Some assignments were hard and confusing, I began to stress out. However, because I had no one to talk to or spend time with, I focused on my assignments and began to improve some skills such as grammar, typing, art, etc. I managed to make some online/gaming friends, I don’t feel lonely as I did back then.

Explanation:

Sorry if it doesn’t match your P.O.V, I’m just saying this from my perspective.
