As the actors' bows, the audience claps wildly.

Explanation

A subject plus verb agreement implies that both elements should agree by forming grammatically correct sentences.

In simple terms, both parts need either to be in singular or plural.

It is essential to note that you cannot combine both singular and plural phrases in the sentence.

Some rules should be followed when writing a sentence to form a subject-verb agreement.

The most important rule is that there are subjects that take a singular verb even if the meaning is plural like in the given case.

AleksAgata [21]

I believe the correct answer is: “You know bachem, I have grown rather fond of you. You are a decent boy, I really believe that, but--even decent boys need reminding sometimes. So it's my duty to remind you that you are among peers in this flea market. You see everyone here is a storyteller.”

In the novel “Kite Runner”, first novel by Afghan-American author Khaled Hosseini, Soraya’s father interrupts her conversation with Amir addressing the appropriateness of their interaction with the following line:

“You know bachem, I have grown rather fond of you. You are a decent boy, I really believe that, but--even decent boys need reminding sometimes. So it's my duty to remind you that you are among peers in this flea market. You see everyone here is a storyteller.”

He does that to remind them that even if they are in another country and he trusts them believing that  they are decent, the people’s mentality is still the same and they gossip finding their often chatting alone inappropriate.

What is the main argument of this passage contending for the rights of woman
ioda

The main argument of the passage contending for the rights of women is have equality in education.

Contending for the rights of woman, my argument is mainly built on this simple principle, that if she is not prepared by education to become the companion of man, she may stop the progress of knowledge and virtue; for truth must be common to all, or it will be inefficacious with respect to its influence on general and this will indicate the discrimination of women.

Hence, women should get equality in right to education and must be treated in equality with the men.
