El Nino is a climate cycle where the temperature of the Pacific Ocean changes because of movements of air and ocean currents. During this period, the trade winds in the south weaken, causing the warm water to move from the Western region to the Eastern region.

El Nino climate cycle begins when warm water in the western tropical Pacific Ocean shifts eastward along the equator toward the coast of South America.

Opposite of El Nino is La Niña when the waters of the tropical eastern Pacific are colder than normal and trade winds blow strongly than usual.

densk [106]

Answer:

step 1: mRNA attaches to the ribosome

step 2: tRNA's attach to free amino acids in the cytoplasmic "pool" of amino acids

step 3: tRNA carries its specific amino acid to the ribosome

step 4: tRNA "delivers" its amino acid based on complementary pairing of a triplet code (anticodon) with the triplet code (codon) of the mRNA

step 5: Enzyme "hooks" the amino acid to the last one in the chain forming a peptide bond

step 6: Protein chain continues to grow as each tRNA brings in its amino acid and adds it to the chain

What happens when ATP is converted to ADP
Kaylis [27]

The electrons in these bonds carry energy. Within the power plants of the cell (mitochondria), energy is used to add one molecule of inorganic phosphate (P) to a molecule of adenosine diphosphate (ADP). The amount of energy stored is about 7,300 calories for every mole of ATP formed.

1. Which cells of the pancreas are the endocrine cells? How were you able to differentiate these cells when viewing the slide? D
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

Explanation:

Endocrine cells in the pancreas are referred to as Islets of Langerhan. There are two major types; Beta cell that produce insulin and alpha cells that produce glucagon.

They are identified when viewed under slides based on their colour reactions with histological dyes. Tinctorial techniques that can be used to identify them under microscope includes; Mallory-Heidenhain azan trichrome, chromium hematoxylin and phloxine, aldehyde fuchsin, and silver impregnation methods.

Islets of Langerhan cells make up minority of the cell. Majority of them are for exocrine functions.
