The sedimentary rocks, as mentioned, are formed by the influence of the outside forces which are powered by the Sun. The Sun powers the winds, temperatures, formation of ice, evaporation, precipitation etc. All these things have the ability to dissolve rocks, gradually creating sediments, which later manage to merge under certain temperature, pressure, and material that would act as natural glue for the sediments.
