D. seamount origins

Paleomagnetism data served as a strong evidence to convince the scientists about the Theory of Plate Tectonics.

Answer: Option B

Explanation:

The data from the earth’s magnetic field is monitored and tracked by measuring the movements of magnetic rocks and sediments. This process is called as Paleomagnetism. This study is found to be the strongest to prove the study of the earth’s magnetic field in and around the ocean ridges.

Paleomagnetism is the study of ascertaining the magnetic force and placement of numerous rock ridges in a specific zone. Large scale movement of smaller piles of earth rigid shell and small movements of large piles of earth rigid shell in the earth’s lithosphere is termed as Plate Tectonics.

These studies provided base data about seafloor spreading and persuaded the theory of plate tectonics.

I've read "the landlady" before and its a good short story, Basically it means that she has been waiting for someone day and night by keeping everything the same every second of the day and night.
