<em>Ancient Greeks worshipped lots of different gods. They believed many gods appeared in human form and were provided with superhuman strength. The Greeks usually worshipped in sanctuaries located within the city or the country. A sanctuary was a well-defined sacred space set apart usually by an enclosure wall. They also worshipped in temples. Temples benefited from their natural surroundings, helping the expression of character divinities. The Greeks also had a Christian Orthodox church they used. The Greek religion had a total of twelve gods, each representing a certain aspect of human behavior. Religion was always present. The Greeks had rituals, myths, and temples with the beliefs being widespread so the Greek government could function. Each god did a different thing, with different powers. Each were always needed, and their powers were always necessary. They usually all got along unless one was made mad. </em>
Greek religion was combinations of old Minoan beliefs. To some extent always remained familiar but its far from easy understanding. The Greeks thought of their religion as unique and unrepeatable. They believed that after death, a soul went on a journey to a place called the underworld (“Everyday life, Beliefs, and Myths”). If the soul went to the underworld the god of death would cut off a lock of your hair as you died. Hermes, the messenger god, would then lead you to the river, Styx. If your body was once buried the ferryman god would deliver you across the river.
Austria Hungary, Germany, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire were part of the central powers in WW1.
<span>The Middle Colonies were not as cohesive as the New England colonies because colonists in this region were not united by single religion or code of beliefs.Area dominated by larger farms than N.E., smaller than the S.; still there is an emphasis on subsistence rather than cash crops. Settlement patterns generally revolve around single family farms (around 50 -150 acres). Again you see the predominance of servant (as opposed to slave labor) in the 17th century. [A notable exception is in New York where you see a large number of African Americans in the colony, especially in New York city where blacks are employed in commercial settings and as dockworkers.]The Middle Colonies were settled by different nationalities so there is greater emphasis on religious toleration and cultural diversity. This is especially true in the colony of New York.</span>
One of the reasons of the failure is because it had failed to prevent the Second World War to occur. The purpose of the treaty itself was to stop another big war to exist again on this earth, yet it had unsuccessfully done so. The war still happened and the destruction of it was even larger and more serious than in WWI and other war in history of humankind due to the fact that the technology is increasing, and thus the weapons using are more powerful than ever, for instance, aircrafts, tanks, machine guns, and especially the use of nuclear bombs in Japan to end the war. Consequently, it resulted in dead of 75 million people including 20 million soldiers and 40 million civilians.
Furthermore, the cause of failure of the treaty was because it was lack of the enforcement mechanism and lack of willingness of the allied powers. Many terms stipulated in the treaty were not implemented. For example, the 14 points of President Woodrow Wilson including “1) no more secret treaties, 2) countries must seek to reduce their weapons and their armed forces, 3) national self-determination should allow people of the same nationality to govern themselves and one nationality should not have the power to govern another , 4) all countries should belong to the League of Nations,” and an intention of France in dividing Germany into smaller states did not occur, and thus it just caused the treaty to become weak; as a result, Germany could take the advantages of it.
