Answer: D is the most suitable answer for a 13-year-old child.

Explanation: At colonial times childhood was not the same as it is nowadays. A boy or girl who was 13 years old or more was most likely considered a young adult than a child. They worked alongside and they did the same tasks as their parents. The girls did the tasks women were supposed to do and the boys worked just like their fathers.
