Sojourner Truth's historic speech at the Women's Rights Convention at Ohio had a significant impact even today. Her discussion on women's rights referencing to the tenants of the Bible where she asked from 'where your Christ came from, isn't she a woman' and describing 'the power of first woman Eve to turn the world upside down' gained her huge applause. She advocated a strong response using the tenants of Christianity that women were equal even at that time and now they would fight to regain their position in society.
