Answer: 300 hrs

The time spent behind the wheel by the average Raleigh driver in 2016 is  300 hrs

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that;

Raleigh driver spent 18 hours in traffic jams

And it accounts for 6% of their total driving time

Now

let total driving time be = x hrs

so

6% of total driving time = 18 hrs

6/100 × x = 18hrs

6x = 1800 hrs

x = 1800/6

x = 300 hrs

∴ The time spent behind the wheel by the average Raleigh driver in 2016 is  300 hrs

Solve:<br> sin5x - cos2x + sin x = 0.
mote1985 [20]

Answer:

x = 10 , 45 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

This seems a tricky one .

I guess we can use   sin A + sin B =  2 sin (A+B)/2 cos (A - B) / 2

so sin 5x + sin x = 2 sin 3x cos 2x so our equation becomes

2 sin 3x cos 2x - cos 2x = 0

cos 2x ( 2 sin 3x - 1) = 0

so 2 sin 3x = 1

sin 3x = 1/2

giving 3x = 30 degrees and x = 10 degrees

or cos 2x = 0

so 2x = 90

giving x = 45 degrees.

jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

A) 38.62 ft

B) 92.27 ft

C) 32.59 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

A) tan10= x/185

X= 32.62 + 6ft= 38.62ft

B) tan25= x/185

X= 86.27 + 6ft= 92.27ft

C) 92.27 - 6ft= 86.27

86.27+ 32=118.27

use inverse of tan tan-1= 118.27/185 in which you get 32.59ft

Two cars drive from town A to town B at constant speeds. The blue car travels 35 miles per hour and the red car travels 70 miles
ExtremeBDS [4]
We can use the formula d = rt in getting the algebraic equation for the two cars where; d = distance, r = rate, t = time.

Given:
r_{1} (blue car) = 35 miles per hour
r_{2}(red car) = 70 miles per hour
distance between the two towns = 140 miles
t_{1} (blue car)= no. of hours the blue car travels
t_{2}(red car) = no. of hours the red car travels

Linear equation for the blue car
d=( r_{1})( t_{1})
140=(35)( t_{1})
140/35= t_{1}
t_{1}=4 hours
blue car travels 4 hours from town A to town B.

Linear equation for the red car
d=( r_{2})( t_{2})
140=(70)( t_{2})
140/70= t_{2}
t_{2}=2 hours
red car travels 2 hours from town A to town B.
