When solving area for a triangle, we use the expression bh/2. So far, we have the solved area as 192 mm squared and the height is 12 mm. This means we have to reverse the expression in order to find the base. Instead of divide by 2, we multiply by 2. 192 x 2 = 384. Instead of multiplying height, we divide height. 384 divided by 12 becomes 32. We can check this: 12 x 32 = 384. 384 / 2 = 192. The base is 32 mm.

Middle SchoolMathematics 5+3 pts

x (.60) + 60 (.15) = (x+60) .50

distribute

.60x +9 = .5x +30

subtract .5x from each side

.1x +9 = 30

subtract 9 from each side

.1x = 21

divide by .1

x = 210

You will need 210 gallons of 60% antifreeze

Answer:

The surface area of the net shown is: 88 in^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Break up the different shapes in the net:

Let's take the big square first:

It has a side of 5in and a base of 4in.

We multiply both these values to get 20in^2

Lets look at the small rectangular box now:

It has a side of 3in and a base of 4in.

We multiply both these values to get 12in^2

There are two big squares so we add up their surface areas:

20in^2 + 20in^2 = 40in^2

There are 4 small rectangular squares so we add up their surface areas:

12in^2 + 12in^2 + 12in^2 + 12in^2 = 48in^2

Now we add up the big square and small rectangular squares values:

40in^2 + 48in^2 = 88in^2

Therefore the answer is 88in^2

A red candle is 8 inches tall and burns at a rate of 710 inch per hour. a blue candle is 6 inches tall and burns at a rate of 15
Katarina [22]
Red candle:
Initial height = 8 in
Burn rate = 710 in/h
After x hours, the height will be
h₁ = 8 - 710x

Blue candle:
Initial height = 6 in
Burn rate = 15 in/h
After x hours, the height will be
h₂ = 6 - 15x

When the two heights are equal, then
h₁ = h₂
8 - 710x = 6 - 15x
-695x = -2
x = 0.00288 hours

Answer:
The answer may take one of these forms:
0.003 hours, or
0.0029 hours, or
0.00288 hours.

Find the area of the shaded region of the trapezoid.
BigorU [14]
Area of entire trapezoid = ((sum of the bases) ÷ 2) • height
Trapezoid Area = (51 / 2) * 26
Trapezoid Area = 663

UN-shaded triangle area = .5 * base * height
UN-shaded triangle area = .5 * 23 * 26
UN-shaded triangle area = 299

SHADED Trapezoid Area = 663 -299

a store received 500 containers of milk to be sold by Febuary 1. Each container the store sold $0.83 and sold for $1.67. The sto
FrozenT [24]
$409.80.

The amount of net profit the store makes on each container is given by 1.67-0.83 (the amount it is sold for subtracted by the amount it costs the store), which is $0.84 per container. They sell 470 containers, so the net profit at this point is 470(0.84) = $394.80.

However, since the distributor is giving the store a $0.50 refund on all every container under 500 that the store sells, the store gets additional money back:

500-470 = 30 containers not sold
30(0.50) = 15

So the total profit is $394.80 + 15 = $409.80.
