Mathematics

Answer:

Equation: y=3x-2

The graph is attached.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Three times the x value means that you must multiply the variable x by 3: 3x.

2. According to the problem, you know that the value of y  is two less than three times the x value, which you can express as following:

Equation: y=3x-2

GRAPH:

1. The equation of the line has the form y=mx+b, where b is the y-intercept. Therefore, b=-2

2. To find x-intercept substitute y=0 into the equation and solve for x, then:

y=3x-2

0=3x-2\\2/3=x

3. Draw a line that cut at -2 in the y-axis and at 2/3 in the x-axis.

13. If the following fractions were converted to decimals, which one would result in a repeating decimal? A. 3/4 B. 1/9 C. 5/11
Vladimir [108]
Hey there!

In order to find if a fraction would result in a repeating decimal, recall that a fraction is a division problem written vertically. All that you have to do is divide the numerator by the denominator. Also, remember that a repeating decimal will result in the same number after the decimal point as long as the calculator can handle.

3 ÷ 4 = 0.75

1 ÷ 9 = 0.11111111...

5 ÷ 11 = 0.45454545...

3 ÷ 0.42857143...

As you can see, two out of your four answer choices give you a repeating decimal. B gives you a repeated number of "1" while C gives you "45". D doesn't count since there is no pattern of repeated numbers that it follows.

Both B and C fall into the category of repeating decimal. If you're only able to choose one answer, I would ask your teacher, a parent, or a peer what they think.

Hope this helped you out! :-)

How many cubes of edge 4cm, each can be cut out from cuboid whose length, breadth and height are 20 cm, 18 cm and 16 cm respecti
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

90 cubes.

Step-by-step explanation:

First we find volume of the cuboid.

Volume = l x b x h = 20 x 18 x 16 = 5760 cm³

Now,

Volume of a single cube = l³ = 4³ = 64

No of cubes that can be cut out from the cuboid is

= Volume of cuboid/ volume of cube

= 5760/ 64

= 90 cubes
