If all silicate mineras melted at exactly the same temperature, would magmas of different compositions even exist? How is partia
omeli [17]

Answer:1. Yes, there are magma of different composition in existence. silicate mineral become molten at the same temperature of 1200 degree centigrade in igneous rock formation and this does not stop the composition of magma which are of three types basalic, andesitic and rhyolitic each of them have different composition ranging between iron, magnesium and calcium.

2. Partial melting is the reason why we have different forms of rock, this is because the mantle is composed of different minerals, these minerals doesn't melt uniformly, a mineral with low melting point will turn to liquid while the one with high melting point will turn to solid crystals. As the magma melts and flow slowly before it cools into solid rock it undergoes some physical and chemical changes which causes differences in the rock formed.

3. The last question depends on ever individual's location, where i am i can easily go and see granite at a mining site that deals with construction rocks which is an example of igneous rock.

A playa is a(n) __________. a. natural lake that is dry for long periods of time b. underground water reserve c. man-made freshw
Gre4nikov [31]

The correct option is a. natural lake that is dry for long periods of time.

What is playa?

Playas are flat-bottomed depressions that are sometimes surrounded by water which it slowly seeps into the groundwater system or vaporizes into the atmosphere. As a result, salt, sand, and mud are deposited along the depression's bottom and around its edges.

Some key feature of playa are-

 • Playas are also known as pans, flats, or dry lakes.
 • They are typically found in inner desert watersheds and close to coasts in arid and semi-arid regions.
 • The flattest recorded landforms are playas. Typically, their gradients are less than 0.2 meters per kilometer.
 • Many kilometers of surface may be submerged when only a few centimeters of water are added.
 • The nearly flawless flatness that is so distinctive of these dry region landforms is developed and maintained by the process of flooding.
 • The middle, level basins of arid plains are called playas. They need drainage from the inside to a place where evaporation far outweighs intake.
 • A playa lake arises when the area is inundated, concentrating salts and fine-grained debris.
 • Playa terminology is somewhat confusing due to the abundance of regional names.
