Answer:

The correct answer is C. Governor Orval Faubus ordered National Guard troops to prevent integration of a  public school.

Explanation:

Orval Eugene Faubus was the 36th governor of the state of Arkansas from 1955 to 1967. Faubus is best known for defeating a Supreme Court ruling in 1957 by sending the National Guard to prevent black students from attending Little Rock Central High School. The extreme right-wing National States' Rights Party nominated Democrat Faubus as their candidate in the 1960 presidential election. Faubus did not run an active campaign and received only 0.07% of the vote. In older days, Faubus changed his views on the racial issue and supported Jesse Jackson in the Democrats' primary election ahead of the 1984 presidential election.

HELP PLEASE!!!!!
Brut [27]

It is TRUE that many Americans viewed public education as a way for immigrants to adopt their language, culture, and social habits. Immigrants attended school at night to learn English and civics so they could qualify for citizenship. By doing so, they show an effort to assimilate.
