Geography

Geographic information may include the area of land or a body of water. It may also include the shape of the islands and their relative location with the surroundings. Eventually, this information should be translated into a visual chart called a map. It would use computer technology in the sense of drawing them and adding legends. Finally, you would need computers to print them out in large volumes.

Which prosses is responsible for crakes in successive strata in the earth
bazaltina [42]

B) Faulting

Layers of strata in the earths crust naturally slide along each other. Sometimes friction or blockage causes this process to stop, until enough pressure builds up to overcome whatever the resistant force is. Faulting is the process by which this pressure forces the strata to continue their movement, often producing cracks in the involved strata, and causing earthquakes and tremors in the event of an intense pressure release.

2. Alaska

3. Arizona

4. Arkansas

5. California

Explanation:

Physical features of these cities

1. Alabama: Montgomery is the state capital and site of many landmark civil rights events, like the Montgomery bus boycotts throughout 1955 and 1956 and the Selma-to-Montgomery March for voting rights in 1965.

The nation’s oldest baseball field, Rickwood Field, which opened in 1910, is located in Birmingham.

2. Arizona: Phoenix is the most populous state capital with approximately 1.5 million people living there. According to the National Climatic Data Center, the sun shines on Phoenix for 85 percent of its daylight hours.

3. Arkansas: Little Rock became the capital of the territory of Arkansas in 1821. The name “little rock” comes from the French explorer Bernard de la Harpe. In 1722, he saw rock formations jutting out from the Ouachita Mountains and named one group the big rock and the other the little rock.

4. California: this is the third largest city in the United States. California boasts mountains that are visible from just about anywhere in the state. Two main mountain ranges dominate: the Sierra Nevada and the Coast Range. The Coast Range runs from the northwest all the way down to the Mexican border, across 800 miles of terrain.

A family has decided to build their dream house on a dune on the shore of Lake Michigan. Their plans call for the natural vegeta
alexandr402 [8]

Answer:

C)

Explanation:

The removal of natural vegetation would affect the growth of the dunes in a negative way for the family. While it may seem to them like a good idea to uproot the local vegetation, this would be a grave mistake since beach vegetation is largely responsible for protecting the integrity of the beachfront and protecting it from rampant erosion by wave action.

Another unexpected consequence would be the changing patterns of dune movements since vegetation also anchors dunes.
