Answer:

There are several figurative language used in 'The Cremation of Sam McGee' such as imagery, personification, etc.

The effect that these figurative language have on the poem is that it helped the readers to see what the narrator saw and to feel what he felt.

Explanation:

'The Cremation of Sam McGee' is a poem written by Robert W.  Service. The poem is thought to be narrative written on the account of the poet's friend, who died at Lake Lebarge.

The poet has used several figurative language in the poem such as imagery, personification, enjambment, etc.

The imagery used by the poet helps the readers to visualise the same things as the narrator see it. For instance, when the narrator said that <em>'I cremated Sam McGee'</em> the readers are able to visualise him performing the cremation rituals.

The second device used in the poem is alliteration. The use of alliteration helped to develop the rhythm of the poem. For instance, in verse <em>'There are strange things done in the midnight sun/ By the men who moil for gold;'</em>

Enjambment is the another device used by the poet in the poem. This figurative langugae helped to encourage readers to continue reading the poem. It is used by the poet, so that the reader continue to read the narration of him cremating his friend. For instance in lines, <em>'But the queerest they ever did see /Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge /I cremated Sam McGee.'</em>

Dear ( your friend's name )

It's been a while time since we last saw each other. It may seem extremely difficult when we are like a thousand miles away from each other but I promise you that I am never going to change and that our relationship will remain forever. And dear friend, I've recently joined an amazing band at school! I've always wanted to join one so I did! It's always been my dream to be a part of a band. The group members all treated each other the same. Everyone was sharing ideas and inspirations and I totally love it. There's this one girl who takes care of the events and stuff, she's a little bossy but everyone was fine about it. We're planning to have our first show at my school's talent show in a month. I would love it so much if you come see us! I'm so excited!

Lots of love,
