Please help me solve these proportions

$\frac{5 \times 5}{8 \times 5} = \frac{y}{40} \\ y = 25$

$\frac{g \div 7}{56 \div 7} = \frac{2}{8} \\ g = 7 \times 2 = 14$

y = 25, g = 14
