Answer:

One more proton than electron.

Explanation:

The element may be defined as the substance that contains the same atom in its structure. The atom consists of protons, electrons and neutrons.

The proton and electron are equal in the element. The loss of an electron gives positive charge to the element. Since, the element has one positive charge it has one more proton in its structure.

Thus, the answer is one extra proton.

Name three invasive species and the specific location on Earth that they are affecting.
yan [13]

Answer:

Rats - Virgin Island

Hemlock - Asia

Zebra moulds - Great Lakes

Explanation:

An alien species is one that was introduced into a new environment, but does not have harmful effects. Such alien species are considered invasive species as they begin to have harmful effects on the new habitat. Invasive species can cause damage to the ecosystem, economic harm or human health effects.

Three invasive species are as following:

  1. Rats that came on board ships to the Virgin Islands infested the islands' sugar cane fields and caused significant crop damage.
  2. The woolly adelgid hemlock is an invasive Asian insect which rapidly kills infested hemlock trees.
  3. Zebra moulds in the Great Lakes can easily cover submerged surfaces, obstructing water intakes at water treatment plants and power plants

In what location would primary succession most likely occur? An area that was covered by a glacier An area that was in a long dr
Virty [35]
An area that was covered by a glacier

Primary succession is a method of bringing about fertility in infertile land that can not be cultivated. This method usually involves plant species known as "pioneer species", that do not rely heavily on soil nutrients but add nutrients to the soil. The land under the glacier is likely to be void of nutrients and infertile, so primary succession will be needed there the most.

A boy received one dominant allele for brown hair from his father and a recessive allele for blonde hair from his mother. Which
Damm [24]

Well say the father had the genotype BB (dominant brown) and his mom had the genotype bb (recessive blonde).

If the boy got only one allele of brown hair and his phenotype is brown hair, then his genetic type is Bb

He is heterozygous (has two different alleles). But since brown hair is dominant, his phenotype is brown hair. But he does have the blonde recessive allele.

Hope this helps!
