Some would argue that the Sustainable Development Goals is not something that should be mandated on countries to achieve by 2030
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

Explanation:

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) were launched in 2016 with its 170 specific targets under the guidance of United Nations. It has been strictly watched by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

SDGs contains a set of objectives and agendas to be achieved by 2030, to which all countries have committed. It is well thought after objectives to bring together social, economic and environmental provisions. It aims to foster collective universal progress.

But this Utopian outlook is problematic for different countries with critical issues. Some developing countries have issues highly differed from already developed nations. They cannot converge on the same plane. African countries cannot be equated to United States and vice versa. The SDGs proposal to end poverty everywhere, education, job with health facilities is broad and ambiguous, often unrealistic. There needs to be a better in depth analysis of each country along with their desired goals keeping in mind their socio-political issues.
