A and D both fit the definition, but i would go with A
If the options are metaphor, alliteration, allusion, and apostrophe, I believe the answer is metaphor, because the others don't fit.
Alliteration is the repetition of a consonant.
Allusion is reference to something or somebody outside of that literary work.
And apostrophe is the author speaking directly to somebody outside the poem, usually gods or a muse.
In question like this you need to provide context like in Fahrenheit 451 on page(ex) then ask. But Montag was mostly afraid that the captain would begin to notice that he was starting to question their ways and if burning the books is really the right thing to do.
