How is an individual's identity shaped by his/her society? A person's identity is shaped by the institution (parents, school, work, religion, community, and government. 
How much freedom to choose who we become do you think we have? Depending on the person, we have a great amount of freedom to choose who we become. By obtaining a college degree we can become a doctor, lawyer, scientist, or a billionaire business man. It all comes down to how focused on our goals and determined to complete our short and long-term goals.
Who controls our identity? We control our own identity, it is given to us at birth and we choose to mold our identity into a successful one or one that society would have for us.
