The main reason why Mongols so easily and successfully conquered most of Eurasia lies in their discipline and organization.

Explanation:

 • the bulk of the army consisted of Mongolian cavalry dominated by archers;
 • the siege techniques he developed with Chinese experts and engineers were adopted and refined;
 • there was strict discipline in the army - unlike the widespread behavior characteristic of most armies of the time;
 • The Mongols had unrivaled and extraordinarily effective intelligence that allowed them to maneuver speed as well as apply psychological warfare through the spread of rumors;
 • special couriers called arrows were introduced. Their social standing was higher than that of princes and colonels. They rode the fastest horses and if they got tired they could take the fastest horse to anyone and continue on;
 • It is estimated that over 40 million people were killed during their conquests. At that time, when less than one billion people were inhabiting our planet, this number seems almost impossible, and some historians consider that figure to be much higher;
 • There are sources who claim that after the Mongol invasion, China's current population declined from 120 million to 60 million. Some theorists go so far as to claim that their bloody pyre has drastically and even positively affected the planetary ecosystem;

Which of the following statements best describes the course of the Korean War during the last year-and-a-half of the conflict?
Crank

Answer;

B) Neither side could win an advantage.

Explanation;

-Korean War was a war fought on the Korean Peninsula from 1950 to 1953 after troops from communist North Korea, armed with Soviet weapons, invaded democratic South Korea, prompting the United States and the United Nations to send forces to support South Korea and fight to unify the Korean Peninsula into one democratic nation, which in turn prompted China to join the war on North Korea's side; at war's end, the peninsula remained divided into two nations

-The war began when North Korean troops armed with Soviet weapons invaded South Korea. Their aim was to unite all of Korea under communist rule. Truman, viewing the invasion as a test of American will, ordered U.S. forces to help South Korea repel the invaders. Truman turned to the United Nations for support. A UN resolution condemned the North Korean invasion and called on member states to aid South Korea.

A political effect of the Enlightenment was that.. some monarchs embraced new ideas from the movement. support for rebels fighti
Flauer [41]

The correct answer is: " some monarchs embraced new ideas from the movement".

The Enlightenment philosophers, such as Locke, Monstequieu or Rosseau, developed ideas that challenged, and ended up derrocating, the power structures of the Old Regime.

They promoted democratic principles, such as the definitions of bills of citizens' rights, social contract (citizens electing political representatives to create goverment through suffrage, in opposition to the prevailing absolute monarchies), and the division of the powers of the state in order to avoid excessive power accumulation in certain sectors, and risks of authoritarism.

Many monarchies were derrocated, as it was the case of the French monarchy during the French Revolution. Other monarchs were able to stay in power by adapting their government system to the new times and adopting some of the Enlightment principles, developing was it known as Enlightened absolutism .
