A car manufacturer crash tests a certain model of car and measures the impact force. The test and model in question produce impa
pychu [463]

Answer:

30

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Mean, m = 30 metric tons

Standard deviation (s) = 1.5 metric ton

Sample size, n = 4

Since the impact force in the test model is normally distributed, the shape of the sampling distribution will also be approximately normal with a mean equal to the mean of the test model.

Hence, the sample mean impact force will be equal to the population mean.

Therefore, sample mean = 30 ; population mean = 30

Solution :

Given :

X = the number of boys in a family of four children

Families having four children are chosen randomly.

The gender distribution in the four child family are equally probable.

Thus,

 X                P(X)                                          CDF

0             ^4C_0 (1/2)^{4}        = 1/16                     \frac{1}{16}

1               ^4C_1 (1/2)^{4}       = 1/4                       \frac{5}{16}

2                ^4C_2 (1/2)^{4}      = 3/8                      \frac{11}{16}

3                ^4C_3 (1/2)^{4}      = 1/4                       \frac{15}{16}

4                  ^4C_4 (1/2)^{4}    = 1/16                      1

Why is ti that when you add two numbers together (5+5,6+6,3+3, etc.) you get an even sum?? I need this for my 8 year-old-brother
astra-53 [7]

Essentially, the rule goes as so: odd + odd = even, even + even = even.

Although that may not be the answer you're looking for, it is a math rule that is never debunked and essentially the premises for why you get an even sum practically always depending on the numbers.

Hope this helps!
