Joseph Stalin decided to order the collectivization of farms of Ukraine to feed the people of the Soviet Union. But this decision provoked what was known as the Holodomor, great starvation of the Ukrainian people during 1933 and 1933. It was the mass starvation created by collectivization. Millions of Ukrainians died. The international community label this act as genocide.
