A biotic factor is another way of saying a living thing/ a living organism, all the other things are abiotic factors. An abiotic factor is non-living and is not an organism. A deer grazing in a grassland. Firstly, a deer is a living organism, already giving help on finding out the answer. Secondly, grass is also a living thing and is the environment.
