The Río Plátano biosphere reserve is located in the department of Gracias a Dios in Honduras and has an extension of more than <u>100 kilometers</u> that houses the indigenous tribes:
Misquitos.
Garifunas.
Pech.
Tawakas.
In addition to <u>multiple animals and plants as well as water sources, so it must be protected</u>, however, since 1996 it has been involved in different projects supported by the governments of the day that put at risk the ecosystem balance that has been there.
