Hi there! A massive reason for the decline of beavers is due to the result of extensive hunting for fur. Beaver fur was popular, thus a lot of people wanted it. This caused a lot of beavers to be hunted and killed, causing the amount of beavers in Oregon country to decrease. I hope I helped!
