I have to do an essay, and the directions are this: In at least 150 words, explain the metaphor of "cashing a check" and how it

makes King's speech more effective.

Ooh I’m good at writing essays. U should start by talking about King and who he was. Maybe add a quote or something like that and then further explain what “cashing a check” means and how it made Kong’s speech more effective.

well i walk home

its a nice alone time

when its sunny when its raining i always like the walk home

its quiet

and i can just plug my headphones in and listen to music for that 20min walk

when i listen to my music everythign around me just dissolves away

its just me and my music and my surroundings

i dont rly have too many friends so no i dont go over to anyone's house after school

walking back from my school i have two difrerent routes

one is walking through town whcih is crowded noisy and a shorter route

and the other is taking the nice side paths and just having a quiet place to just be with myself for once

and yeah i typically take the side paths but occassionally ya girl needs coffee so we gotta go through town ahahah

but yeah my walk home from school is very calming and its good exercise too

also i can walk at my own pace cuz everyone says i walk too slow for them but i can just be myself

its pretty awesome

As an adult, Wright has a different perspective of his father than he did when he was a child.

In the passage the speaker talks about his father when he says, "there had not been handed to him a chance". This makes it seem as though the speaker understands that his father did not have much of a choice. Then at the end of the passage the speaker says "I forgave him, and pitied him as my eyes look past him to the unpainted wooden shack." These details show that there has been some type of change in the speaker in regards to his father. At one point he may have blamed his father and been angry with him, but this frustration or annoyance is no longer there for the speaker. The way the speaker views his father has changed since he was a boy.
