Sodium plays a role in fluid balance by exercing osmotic pressure. Its concentration in the blood and the interstitial fluid conditions the amount of water present in the cells and the blood volume.

Sodium is also essential for the transmission of nerve impulses and muscle contraction.

Zinc plays a role in immune system. It has also other roles:

It is involved in the metabolism of proteins and fats.

It allows the production of prostaglandins.

Entering the structure of the superoxide dismutase, so it has an antioxidant action.

It stabilizes various hormones: insulin, gustine, thymulin.

It is thus essential to taste and smell.

It contributes to the good condition of the skin and hair.

It is important for growth.

Calcium plays a role in maintaining healthy bones and muscles.

Calcium is the frame of the bones being mixed with phosphorus in a frame of proteins.Il thus ensures the rigidity and strength of the skeleton, the hardness of the teeth.

Lesechka [4]

Answer: Methylene blue can be used to stain DNA of a cell because it (forms ionic bonds with DNA).

Explanation:

To examine the components of a cell usually under a microscope, a stain or dye is being used to provide a clear and defined view of the area under study.

The deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) of a cell which contains the hereditary information of the cell is located in the nucleus.

Methylene blue is a type of stain used by biologists which helps them view microscopic life in brilliant color. It is a cationic stain (positively charged blue dye); and binds to negatively charged parts of the cells, such as nucleus (DNA) and RNA in the cytoplasm (with lower affinity).

When DNA of a cell comes in contact with methylene blue on a slide, their opposite charges attract, causing methylene blue's "rings" to slide in between the "rungs" of the DNA "ladder." As a result, a rich blue stain that identifies the location of the cell nucleus can be observed. This produces a photosensitive reaction which can then be viewed under the microscope.

Therefore is can be used to stain the DNA of cell because it forms ionic bonds with DNA.

Ludmilka [50]

The correct answer is option B, that is, reproducing.

Reproduction refers to the biological procedure by which new organisms, that is, offspring get generate from their parents. Reproduction is a basic requirement of all the forms of life, every single organism prevails due to the outcome of reproduction. There are two modes of reproduction, that is, sexual and asexual.

It is the phenomenon of asexual reproduction, in which a single cell species splits in half and results in the formation of twice as many organisms as before.
