the first question...the answer is 10

see;x is our unknown number

so;27-2=25

x + 15=25

x = 25-15

x =10

10 + 15 = 25

25 + 2 = 27

Hello :
(gog)(-2) = g(g(-2))
but g(-2) = (-2)²-4(-2)-5 =4+8-5=7
(gog)(-2) = g(g(-2)) =g(7) = 7²-4(7)-5 =49-33 =16

The difference in the given function is x^3 + 7x^2 - 3x - 14

<h3>Difference of functions</h3>

Given the following functions

f(x) = 5x^2 − 3x + 5

g(x) = 19 − x^3 − 2x^2

Determine the difference of the function

f(x) - g(x) =5x^2 − 3x + 5 - (19 − x^3 − 2x^2)

f(x) - g(x) = 5x^2 - 3x + 5 - 19 + x^3 + 2x^2

Collect the like terms

f(x) - g(x) = x^3 + 5x^2 + 2x^2 - 3x + 5 - 19

f(x) - g(x) = x^3 + 7x^2 - 3x - 14

Hence the difference in the given function is x^3 + 7x^2 - 3x - 14

An angle whose measure is _____ is rotated more than halfway around a circle
zaharov [31]

The correct answer is 60⁰.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • An angle whose measure is 60⁰ is rotated more than halfway around a circle.
  • Since, we have to find the measure of angle.
  • As we already know that the angle of rotation about a circle is 360° therefore we have to find more than halfway of this angle.
  • Considering that an angle is rotated more than halfway around a circle be \frac{1}{6}
  • Multiplying \frac{1}{6} with 360⁰
  • Therefore, it can show as \frac{1}{6}×360⁰
  • Which gives the result to be 60⁰
  • Hence, when an angle is measured 60⁰, it is rotating more than halfway around a circle.
  • A single rotation around a circle is equal to 360 degrees.
  • The measurement of an angle shows the magnitude and direction of the rotation of the angle from its initial position to the final position.
  • If the rotation is in a counterclockwise direction, it has an angle with positive measure. If the rotation is clockwise, it has an angle which gives negative measure.

In a trapezoid the lengths of bases are 11 and 18. The lengths of legs are 3 and 7. The extensions of the legs meet at some poin
FrozenT [24]

Answer: The length of segments between this point and the vertices of greater base are 7\frac{5}{7} and 18.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let ABCD is the trapezoid, ( shown in below diagram)

In which AB is the greater base and AB = 18 DC= 11, AD= 3 and BC = 7

Let P is the point where The extended legs meet,

So, according to the question, we have to find out : AP and BP

In Δ APB and Δ DPC,

∠ DPC ≅ ∠APB ( reflexive)

∠ PDC ≅ ∠ PAB    ( By alternative interior angle theorem)

And, ∠ PCD ≅ ∠ PBA  ( By alternative interior angle theorem)

Therefore, By AAA similarity postulate,

\triangle APB\sim \triangle D PC

Let, DP =x

⇒ \frac{3+x}{18} = \frac{x}{11}

⇒  33 +11x = 18x

⇒ x = 33/7= 4\frac{5}{7}

Thus, PD= 4\frac{5}{7}

But, AP= PD + DA

AP= 4\frac{5}{7}+3 =7\frac{5}{7}

Now, let PC =y,

⇒ \frac{7+y}{18} = \frac{y}{11}

⇒ 77 + 11y = 18y

⇒ y = 77/7 = 11

Thus, PC= 11

But, PB= PC + CB

PB= 11+7 = 18

How much wrappping paper do you need to cover a box that is 18 inches by 15 inches by 3 inches
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

So to do this, you would find the surface area of a box. Since it is a rectangular prism, two sides will always have the same area and so there are 3 different areas. 18*15*2 = 540 and 18*3*2 = 108 and 3*15*2 = 90 and 90 + 108 + 540 = 738 inches
