How to solve this please help me 2/3×1/2(3/4÷1 2/5)
Damm [24]

Answer:

0.624999999(repeating) so i would round it to 0.625 or 0.63 (both work and are rounded, its really up to wherever your teacher wants you to round it to if they want you to round it)

Step-by-step explanation:

2/3 x 1/2 (3/4 ÷ 2/5)=

simplify the parentheses (3/4 ÷ 2/5) to 1.875

2/3 x 1/2 x 1.875=

simplify 2/3 x 1/2 to 0.333333(repeating)

0.3333333333 x 1.875 = 0.6249999999(repeating)

round it to 0.625 or 0.63 (which ever one your teacher wants you to round it to)

Mrs.Fernandez must drive 6 1/9 miles to work every day. How many miles will Mrs.Fernandez have driven after 12 days of work?
Serjik [45]
Well since we know that for one day Mrs. Fernandez drives 6 and 1/9 miles to work what could we do to get 12 days of work driven.
all we have to do here is multiply 12 and 6 and 1/9 :) lets set this up
    1 1 12
6 ---- x 12 or lets set this up like this 6 ---- x -----
    9 9 1

but lets change that whole fraction into an improper fraction
    1
6 ---- so all we do is multiply 6 x 9 and add the 1 so lets try that
    9
6 x 9 = 54
54 +1 = 55
hey look we have our numerator!! ( the top number)
and our bottom number would stay the same as 9 so lets try this again:)
55
----- now lets plug it in to our problem
  9

55 12
----- x -----
  9 1

now lets just multiply across

55 12 = 55 x 12 = 660
----- x -----
  9 1 = 9 x 1 = 9

so now our fraction look like this
660
-------
   9
but lets make it not look so confusing and divide 660 by 9
660/9 = 73.33333333
again it still looks confusing but we can round it out to beeeee
73
so this means that for 12 days Mrs. Fernandez drove 73 miles!
hope this isnt confusing;)

(NO LINKS I WILL REPORT!)
nevsk [136]

Answer:

b. $35.61

Step-by-step explanation:

First, convert the 25% to an actual number that can be used in a calculation. For percents, this is always done by simply dividing the percent (in this case 25%) by 100%.So, the conversational term "25%" becomes 25% / 100% = 0.25 in terms of a real mathematical number.

Second, you need to find out what 25% of your $28.49 meal cost is.This is always done by multiplying 0.25 by $28.49, or

                       0.25 x $28.49=$7.12.

So, the amount of tip you are going to leave is $7.12.

This makes the total cost of your meal (to write on your charge slip or other payment)

                      $28.49 + $7.12 = $35.61.

Given:

Mason throws a coin 3 times.

The outcome of each throw is either Heads or Tails.

To find:

The list of all the possible outcomes of the 3 throws.

Solution:

Let H represents heads and T represents tails.

For each throw we have 2 choices either H or T.

For three throws the total number of possible outcomes is

2^3=8

Now, list the possible outcomes as shown below.

HHH, HHT, HTH, HTT, THH, THT, TTH, TTT

Therefore, the list of 8 possible outcomes is HHH, HHT, HTH, HTT, THH, THT, TTH, TTT.
