The plot of the novel Out of my mind is one amazing story about a world of one eleven years old girl and her acceptance of herself, despite her disabilities.

Explanation:

The girl named Melody Brooks was born with cerebral paralysis but in this novel, she realizes that she is not much different than other kids. The main topic of the novel is how people judge others by their appearances.

When they see Melody, not speaking and not walking, they think she is also illiterate and not so intelligent. The story tries to disapprove of this by letting Melody love herself the way she is.
