The area of the walk is 480 square meter.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Length of rectangle = 28m

Width of rectangle = 11m

Now, if a person walk 2m away from the rectangular surrounding, it will add 4m (2m at the top and 2m at the bottom) to the length of rectangular.

Hence, the length (l) of walking path would be 28+4 = 32 m

Similarly, the width (w) will also increase by 4 = 11 + 4 ? 15 m

The formula of area = l x w

area = 32 x 15

area = 480 square meter.

Hence, the area of the walk is 480 square meter.
