Natalka [10]

During the first World War, the United States came to be respected by other nations because:

  • The battle of Belleau Wood proved to the world the strength of the US armed forces.
  • The economic strength of the US led to greater respect from leaders of other countries.

The United States was greatly admired during the first World War because:

  • Their economic strength provided the allies with much needed supplies and weaponry at a time when the allies were running short on resources.
  • The bravery of the American soldiers in battles like the Battle of Belleau Woods showed that the American army was a strong force.

These two factors ensured victory for the allies in the end because American soldiers were key to winning the war and so were American resources.

We can therefore conclude that the U.S. was respected on account of its military and economic feats.
