The renal pelvis arises from the confluence of the collecting ducts forming the renal papilla then the minor calyx and the major calyx and ultimately to the renal pelvis to be transported to the urinary bladder through the ureters.

The urine will be collected in the renal pelvis. With the urine collected in the renal pelvis, the urine moves from the renal pelvis to the urinary bladder through the ureters and will be stored in the urinary bladder.
