Well, this question could be answered in a multitude of ways. However, there are a few crucial resources that are the main priority for all living creatures; those being:

- Water

- Plant life (ecosystem)

- predator and prey

- areas to take shelter

Hope this helps with your question. I'm not too sure what it's specifically relating too, but in the general aspect of the question these are the first things that come to mind.
