I just answered this question. Here was my answer.

As I read the poem Stolen Rivers by Phillippa Yaa de Villiers, there are two tones and emotions I identify.

The first 9 lines of the poem speaks of vengeance. The speaker was filled with rage and thirst for revenge for the injustices done to them and their country.

The last 14 lines of the poem speaks of love and admiration. The speaker is filled with awe, love, and reverence towards Chiwoniso. An individual who makes the speaker let go of his or her anger as he or she watches and listens to Chiwoniso perform on stage.

Komok [63]

Answer:

love is love

Explanation:

In his iconic novel Giovanni’s Room, gay author James Baldwin makes a powerful statement about love. He proclaims that sex and gender don’t matter; all that matters is that two people love each other. Nothing should stand in their way if they have love in their hearts. These words resonated with millions of people who felt like their emotions were invalid because of the gender of the object of their love. With this quote, Baldwin assured them that it didn’t matter because love is love.

nydimaria [60]

The correct answer is "Squealer's dramatic accusations draw parallels between him and Stalin’s propagandists."

The author's purpose was to explore how mass media can be used to manipulate people. Squealer is loyal to his leader, spreads false information, and uses many tactics to justify Napoleon's policies, similar to Stalin's propagandists.
