I will ask again to help me with a paragraph for these 5 similes & Metaphors. (It is due by 6:00)

1) He was a busy bee. The metaphor is saying that he is very busy. Bees are known for being busy, hard workers. "He" and "a busy bee" is being compared.

2) She is as pretty as a picture. The similie is saying that she is very beautiful. Pictures are usual of oneself when they are very beautiful; when people pose for pictures, they wear something very nice for the picture. The similie is comparing "She" and " a picture" Saying she is very pretty.

3) The woman sang like a bird. This is also a similie. It is saying that the "woman" has a very great voice; when birds sing they sing beautifully. The similie is comparing "the woman" and "a bird" She sang beautifully.

4) Richard the lion hearted. This is a metaphor. To be lion hearted means to be brave and determined. They are saying that Richard is very brave. They are comparing "Richard" and "lion hearted".

5) The US is a melting pot. When they say this they mean that the US is a very hot place. Summers in the US are very hot. This is a metaphor. They are comparing "The US" and "a melting pot" saying the US is very hot.
