Parmenides was a Greek Philosopher of Elea in southern Italy who founded Eleaticism, which was one of the leading pre-Socratic schools of Greek thought. His generally teachings have been diligently reconstructed from the few fragments of his principal work that survived, which was a three-part verse composition that was titled "ON Nature"
