The second real world example is speed . When the rate of speed of a car (acceleration) slows down , we say that it is negative. increasing , it is positive, but decreasing it is negative. so we might say it's acceleration is -25. that is difficult for some students to understand. because they think. hang on. if a cars acceleration reaches 0 , it's stopped. But what must be remembered is, we are not measuring speed, but rather, the rate of change, which can be negative.

Winton was givin $14 to spend at a school fair he spent 3/7 playing games how much money is lift
Ksivusya [100]
<h3><u>Question:</u></h3>

Winton was given $14 to spend at a school fair he spent 3/7 playing games how much money is left

<h3><u>Answer:</u></h3>

Amount left with winton is $ 8

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

Given that Winton was given $14 to spend at a school fair

He spent \frac{3}{7} playing games

To find: money left with Winton

From given information,

Money given to Winton = $ 14

Amount spent on games = \frac{3}{7}

Thus we can say,

Amount spend on games = \frac{3}{7} of total money he has

\rightarrow \frac{3}{7} \times 14 = 3 \times 2 = 6

Thus he spend $ 6 on playing games

<em><u>Money left with Winton:</u></em>

Money left = total money he had - money spent on playing games

Money left = 14 - 6 = 8

Thus amount left with winton is $ 8

# - A circle has an area of approximately
daser333 [38]

Answer:

The area of the new circle is 804.57 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we are interested in calculating the area of the new circle of the radius of the old circle was doubled.

Let’s calculate the former radius first;

Mathematically;

Area of a circle = π * r^2

Thus;

201.06 = π * r^2

r^2 = 201.06/π

r^2 = 63.999

r = √63.99

r = 8 approximately

Now let’s double this radius and it becomes 2 * 8 = 16 cm

The new area will be ;

22/7 * 16 * 16 = 804.57 cm^2

Which of the following are geometric series?
Fed [463]
<h3>ANSWER</h3>

first is the geometric series

<h3 /><h3>EXPLANATION</h3>

a geometric series is a sequence of numbers whose first term is non zero and each of the succeeding terms is equal to the Prcedding term multiply by a constant number.

if a = first term

and constant number = d

then

GP is given by

a,a r , a r^2 ,a r^3 .............and so on

in first

a = 1/2

and d = 1/2

and hence it is an GP
