2.he develops it but moving talking about his previous aspirations and how he changed his plans due to failure and then talks about how the change was better for him at the end and I support it with the sentence "there's no doubt that misfortunes turn into pivotal moments that can alter the course of a person's life for the better"

I think the theme is change because at the end his plans completely changed when he received that letter but the change did not ruin him
